1. Read verse 4. Write out the five characteristics of love. Then write out the opposite.

2. Read verse 5. What are four more characteristics of love? Again, write out the opposite.

3. Pray though the qualities in the left columns. Circle the ones that stick out to you. Ask the Lord to grow those Christ-like qualities in you.
4. Look at those qualities in the right columns. Had you thoughts of these as unloving? Circle the ones where you need to grow.
5. Read verses 6 and 7. Use your own words to describe other facets of love in the space below. How does this understanding impact your life?
6. Write a summary paragraph of Jesus-likeness looks like in your situation. Include a paragraph of repentance, rejoicing in God’s provision, and requesting growth.
7. Look back over that list of expressions of love. Do you need to ask forgiveness of someone?
8. Write out a prayer asking the Lord to grow you into a more loving person no matter what others do.
